Dear Valued Member,
At Sterling United FCU, our number one priority is the health and safety of our members. We are currently monitoring the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) closely and are taking steps necessary to ensure we are in a good position to effectively serve the financial needs of our members without disruption. Although we haven’t yet experienced any confirmed, local cases of the coronavirus, it is important that we all do our part to minimize likelihood of contracting and spreading of this disease.
In addition to management actively monitoring the situation, we are taking active measures to make sure our lobbies and workspaces are being properly cleaned and sanitized. We also have hand sanitizer stations available in our lobbies for members to utilize. Furthermore, we are sharing health and wellness best practices with our employees in an effort to further prevent infection.
We also recommend leveraging all of Sterling’s services such as online banking, our mobile app, remote deposit capture, portal pay, and person to person (P2P). Members can perform a wide variety of transactions without human interaction and 24/7 accessibility. Visit our website www.sufcu.org for more details or visit one of our branches to sign up for online or mobile banking.
Sterling United FCU has a contingency plan in place to avoid major service disruptions from situations like the coronavirus pandemic. These include remote employee access, reduced staffing scenarios, alternative work locations for employees, and backup plans for operations deemed critical. Furthermore, we review our critical service provider’s business continuity plans for adequacy on an annual basis.
Health and safety are all of our responsibilities. We encourage you to practice good hygiene and sound judgment in an attempt to slow the spreading of COVID-19. Wash your hands with soap and water frequently (for at least 20 seconds), cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your elbow if you have to sneeze or cough, and please stay home if you are sick. Lastly, we encourage you to take measures to avoid unnecessary contact with large crowds, especially in confined spaces.
We value you as a Sterling member and appreciate your continued support. We will keep you informed if additional action or changes occur.
